I do love nice stationery, but this morning I don’t feel compelled to write on this. What I am compelled to do is celebrate and thank. This comes from two things: Gwen Bell’s post on How to Write Non-Digital Thank You Notes and my post from yesterday about social web moments and women connecting.
After I wrote yesterday’s post where I shared about the wonderful connections with women I have made during this year, I felt an urge to celebrate as many of these women in today’s post by thanking as many as I can for the gifts they’ve given me by sharing their personal experiences so vulnerably and beautifully. These women have also shared by coming to my blog, reading and leaving a thank you note to me in the form of a comment – something that lifted me and encouraged me to write with more courage and vulnerability myself.
This is my digital thank you note to you beautiful women. This is my celebration of you!

julie, you honor me by including me on this list of authentic, courageous, eloquent women. we are, as you said to me earlier this week, weaving an exquisite tapestry of truth, experience, and possibility. earlier today i experienced premature pangs of withdrawal as i contemplated gwen’s challenge coming to an end. and perhaps we’ll find another shared, collaborative project, but until then, there’s always twitter and google reader. one thing, though, is for sure: my life is richer with you in it.

Thank you so much, Julie. I set an intention at the beginning of December to get myself out “there” more and get connected. Not by way of cramming as many followers as possible, but by way of really connecting. Glad I’ve been able to do that here! And this is a wonderful reminder to me that simply sharing is the best way to connect. I’m looking forward to 2010 and all the wonderful connections it will bring. Julie this was such a wonderful surprise! I am honored, and touched beyond belief to be included on your list. I like Dian, set an intention a couple of months ago to put myself out there a bit more, and to allow for some opening. I haven’t been as active as I had hoped, but I feel that it’s been an absolutely perfect start! I am loving where I am, in this moment.
I already have a mad blog crush on you… and can’t wait to connect with you more this upcoming year. I’m also looking forward to getting to know the wonderful women on your list (some of the names I recognize and some are new to me), thank you for sharing – as always. You are amazing!

Dian- Yes, I love what you said about simply sharing as a deep way to connect. It is simple, yes? I love what happens when we desire to connect in truth, with vulnerability. We begin to show each other who and what we really are, as we begin to see it for ourselves.
Olive – (Is it Olive?) I haven’t been quite sure as I’ve perused your blog to see your true/full name. A mad blog crush?! Wow. Me, too. I am wickedly in love with you and all these women who are willing to share with an open heart.
I look forward to more in 2010 with all of you, and all the women here on the list as well. Many blessings as we walk forward to this new decade. May there be real connection between women in a way that encourages us to deeply bow in respect of each other and of both the feminine and masculine in all of life.
Dearest Julie – what a lovely generous spirit you are. I returned home today and was 2 days behind in email (because of road travel). I had two new beautiful encouraging comments on my blog from women who connected with me because of this post. I only knew about it because one mentioned it.
